I came home Thursday night to the sound of my compressor running and although it's not completely uncommon for it to compensate for a bad coupler when no one is using it, I knew this was different...
When I went in the garage, it was hot and the air smelled like every molecule had run through the compressor's pump at least twice...
I'm glad I bought a good compressor with a 100% duty cycle. When I turned it off, the tank read 135PSI running wide open through the broken 3/8" hose. My wife said it wasn't running when she left 3 hours before we got home, so it couldn't have run longer than that. I can't wait to open the power bill.
